Nationalism as a concept was the leading weapon of India's struggle to Independence.

Explanation:

India's road to independence was a rather long one and one filled with obstacles.

It was the idea of one united India under a sovereign government that gave hope to the millions who joined the fight against the colonizer.

This call for complete and absolute freedom was given by Mahatma Gandhi who insisted on the unified character of the nation as one nation.

The nationalism thus propagated was the central idea during the whole struggle for independence which culminated into the formation of an idea of a unfed India
